Does God heal today & healing in the atonement

A very controversial subject. From the outset, I believe that God heals today.
Healing is a gift from God.
See 1Cor 12. But I also believe that for whatever reason not everyone is healed. I also believe this has nothing to do with one's lack of faith.
In the New Testament, we read Matt. 8:5-10 About the faith of the centurion that healed his own servant.
Mk.5:35-43 The daughter of Jairus was healed from the fathers faith and asking.
The paralytic was carried by his friends to Jesus and “When Jesus saw their faith” (for their friend) He pronounced his sins forgiven first and then healed him (Mark 2:2-12).
Lk.17:11-19 Jesus healed all 10 lepers but only one obeyed showing that he was the only one to possess true saving faith.

Matt 17:20 says "So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."

The issue is putting faith in Christ and Christ doing the will of the Father and Christ fulfilling prophecy. Not Faith in Faith.
The name it and claim it crew believe that faith comes from within. These believe it is an inner power, that by speaking it into existence it will happen. No No. This is not faith in Christ this is faith in the god of self. Anything that comes out of this will be a false wonder a lie of the devil.

Although we read that Jesus healed many we see evidence of Him not healing all. In John 5:1-15 and verse 3 we read about the Bethesda a place with a pool of water in it where we read "In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water."
Jesus approached one man and he was healed. Though there where many that could have been.

Paul writes to Timothy saying "No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities"(1Tim. 5:23). Later we read Paul writes in 2 Tim 4:20 he had to leave someone behind who was sick, yet it was also Paul who knew that in Christ who gave him the strength to do all things (Phil 4:13) Something is wrong did Paul lose his faith oh no...

Then there is Paul himself stuck with this thorn in his side ( an expression used for something that troubled him)
Paul prayed 3 times for the Lord to take it away, whatever it was, then concluded that the Lord's grace was sufficient.

The evidence so far is that Jesus healed many but not all.
Paul healed but not all, including himself.

There are many Christians who have for one reason or another gone with one side or the other on this subject. Some are what are known as cessationists, believing miraculous gifts have ceased today and we have to wait until Jesus returns before we can expect to be healed.  They are correct in believing the guarantee of us being perfect in body soul and spirit is when Jesus returns but they wrongly interpret 1Cor 13:10  "But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away". They believe this verse has to do with when the completed canon of scripture came then the miraculous gifts were to be done away with.
In fact, those that believe this ignore and misinterpret verse 12 "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known".
The face to face is when we see Him Jesus.  We don't see scripture face to face.
See also 1John 3:2 and 1Cor 15:52.
Furthermore, Paul is comparing the now and the time when Christ returns. Ask yourself what is the "in part" referring to? verse 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
So the part things are temporary, love has eternal value it won't cease.

So we have the guarantee of our being glorified. See also Eph 1:13, Rom 8:17;8: 30, 1John 2:25.

But what about healing in the atonement?

Ok let's think for a minute do we find evidence in scripture of people being healed before the atonement was made on the cross? Yes.
Jesus also healed and even raised people from the dead without them exercising faith in Him. Lk.8:26-39, John 11
So to start with and on this basis alone one can't demand healing in the atonement just from these points alone.

Mark 6:5 says "Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them".

We must also remember that in both the OT & NT. Blood was shed for the forgiveness of sins Heb 9:22 & Matthew 26:28. There is no mention of a guarantee of physical healing here. But forgiveness of sins.
But what about other verses?

Isaiah 42:1“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

Isaiah 49:9 That You may say to the prisoners, ‘Go forth,’ To those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ “They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures shall be on all desolate heights.

Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Matthew 11:5 “The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Isaiah 53 there is too much here to unpack, but here again, we see God's plan of salvation through Jesus, how He was to take our iniquities upon Him and our punishment.

Jesus came and fulfilled prophecy, He came and healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons, forgave people their sin.
In light of these prophecies of Jesus the Messiah we can sum up His work and say "by His stripes we are healed" But we can not use the text as the guarantee that a person will be healed by an action of our faith, or when two agree on earth that God has to heal etc as the faith prosperity guys would have us believe. No, we can guarantee forgiveness of sins by and through the shedding of His blood, we can trust that what the Lord has begun in us He will complete in the day of Christ and we can pray that God heals but we can not demand it or believe it by faith.

James 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

Conclusion
Yes God heals today but if you pray for someone who is sick and they are not healed then seek God as to why.
Ultimately at the resurrection, everyone who is in Christ will receive a new body without corruption
so this is definitely as a result of the atonement. See 1 Cor 15:49-53
